Meerlust Rubicon 1.5L

The Rubicon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (4%) every parcel of each variety was fermented separately before undergoing malolactic fermentation in 300 L barrels. After 8 months in barrel, the components were blended and given another 10 months in barrel for harmonization before bottling.

A youthful deep ruby red wine with aromas of violets, black plum, cassis, and spice. The palate is full-bodied with fresh dark fruit, smooth tannins, and balanced oak. Elegant and well-structured with lively acidity.

Pair with prime cuts like ribeye steak, a rack of lamb with rosemary, or roasted venison with a berry compote and mature hard Cheeses.
Serving temperature 16 - 18°C | Ideal storage temperatures: Red Wine: 12 °C - 19 °C, White Wine: 8 °C - 12 °C, Champagne: 5 °C - 8 °C. | Wine is best stored in a dark room, vibration-free and with humidity under 70%
