Adjoining the Margaux and Lascombes Castles, this property is mentioned in edouard Feret's 1868 edition which relates since 1332 the existence of "the lands of the house of Noble de La Begorce". The castle is presented as being "... one of the most beautiful and best located in the town of Margaux".
Tasting Notes
Deep garnet-purple with a rich bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, accented by spice, floral notes, and hints of charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it offers a silky texture, ripe tannins, and balanced flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and subtle minerality, finishing long and elegant.
