Description
Our Black Stallion Estate Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made using grapes grown in vineyards throughout Napa Valley. A significant portion of the grapes are from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, our home AVA, which is known to give Cabernet richness and depth of flavor without overwhelming tannins. Significant percentages of the blend also come from vineyards located in Pope Valley and Rutherford which help to give the blend roundness and softness.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, cocoa, cedar, clove, walnut, dried lavender, and baking spice. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with rich dark berry flavors, toasted oak, hints of cassis and plum, fine-grained tannins, and a smooth, elegant finish with cocoa and spice notes.
Serving Suggestions
Pairs well with grilled ribeye steak, roast lamb, braised short ribs, BBQ beef, mushroom dishes, aged cheddar, gouda, and dark chocolate desserts.
