Description

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one of Italy's most famous wines, found on wine store shelves all around the world. This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast. It is quite distinct from Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is a Sangiovese-based wine from Tuscany.

Tasting Notes

Fiercely intense black cherry and violet aromas with spicy notes to highlight elegant oak. Plump, juicy and savoury cherry notes. Wonderfully round with tannins in contrast to the heat of the alcohol resulting in the perfect balance and an elegant finish.

Serving Suggestions

Grilled beef, roast lamb, pasta with tomato or meat sauces, pizza, barbecue dishes, lasagna, and aged cheeses. It also pairs well with Italian cold cuts and hearty stews.
Serving temperature 16-18°C | Ideal storage temperatures: Red Wine: 12 °C < 19 °C, White Wine: 8 °C < 12 °C, Champagne: 5 °C < 8 °C. | Wine is best stored in a dark room, vibration-free and with humidity under 70%
