Description
Don Maximiano vineyard is located in Aconcagua Valley includes the historic Max I, Max II, and Max V blocks. The region benefits from a long dry season and moderate summer warmth, with cooling evening breezes from the Pacific Ocean. Grapes were hand-picked in the cool morning and transported in 15-kilogram boxes. At the winery, they were inspected for quality, fermented in small stainless-steel tanks with up to three daily pump-overs for optimal extraction, and underwent maceration for 8 to 30 days. The wine aged for 22 months in French oak barrels (65% new), with natural malolactic fermentation, clarification, and stabilization.
Tasting Notes
Balanced and elegant, with aromas of coffee, cocoa, cassis, cranberry, and cherry pie. It features red cherry, blackberry, and blueberry flavors, with freshness, structure, and refined tannins.
