A family spirit that has endured. For the Helfrich family, the adventure began in 1979 in Alsace, when Joseph Helfrich launched his business as a producer of wines and sparking wines. Since 2007, his ambition as a wine lover has been to promote Calvet's expertise worldwide.
Tasting Notes
A ruby red robe with deep purple tints. A spicy nose with aromas of white pepper and vanilla. Followed by jammy aromas of blackcurrants and cherrie. A dense, firm palate with smooth tannins and a generous, aromatic finish.
Serving Suggestions
Ideal with roasted red meats (beef, lamb), grilled steak, and game dishes. Also pairs well with rich sauces, hearty stews, and aged cheeses like cheddar or gouda.
