Beaujolais Villages Château De Montmelas 75cl

This wine can be served now or laid down for the next three years. The wine comes from the vineyards planted around the villages of Blace, Lantignie and Montmelas in the Beaujolais area. Granite, schistous, shallow soils.

Ruby red with violet reflections. Red berry fruit and violets on the nose. A rich, supple taste with good body with supple and fine balance.

Drink with lamb, grilled fish or scallops, fresh tofu, cured meats, a light stew, kidneys, pizza, barbecues, light soups and blue cheese from the French Auvergne area.
Serving temperature 14 - 16°C | Ideal storage temperatures: Red Wine: 12 °C - 19 °C, White Wine: 8 °C - 12 °C, Champagne: 5 °C - 8 °C. | Wine is best stored in a dark room, vibration-free and with humidity under 70%.

Mommessin was founded in 1865 at Grange Saint-Pierre, an old dependency of the Abbey of Cluny in southern Burgundy. The famous Key of Saint Peter from the abbey became the emblem of the house. The company later established itself in Beaujolais, at the foot of Mont Brouilly.
