This is the largest wine-producing area of the Maconnais region, forming a triangle between the points of Tournus, Cluny and Mâcon. The variety of soils and micro-climates enable the production of a vast range of typical Macon-villages wines. These vines are located on chalky, clay slopes

Lightly gold colored with green hues. Fruity and floral nose, vivid and fresh with a hint of vanilla. Full and round, easy to drink, fruity with a floral scent. These wines are friendly, supple and light.

Goes well with shellfish, fish or as an aperitif.
Serving temperature 10 - 12°C | Ideal storage temperatures: Red Wine: 12 °C - 19 °C, White Wine: 8 °C - 12 °C, Champagne: 5 °C - 8 °C. | Wine is best stored in a dark room, vibration-free and with humidity under 70%.

Mommessin was founded in 1865 at Grange Saint-Pierre, an old dependency of the Abbey of Cluny in southern Burgundy. The famous Key of Saint Peter from the abbey became the emblem of the house. The company later established itself in Beaujolais, at the foot of Mont Brouilly.
