Description
This is a classic Burgundian Chablis produced by well-known J. Moreau & fils. There is no oak treatment on this Chablis. However, the Chardonnaywine was aged more than eight months on its lees giving it a subtle nutty flavour and creaminess. Pale green in the glass, this is an elegant Chablis with ripe apple, pear fruit, grapefruit flavours finishing with driven minerality. Chill and pour with fresh steamed shrimp, or raw oysters on the half shell.
Tasting Notes
The colour is a beautiful pale gold with green highlights. The nose is floral and elegant, with hints of ibiscus and pleasant apricot. The palate is rich and smooth, with aromas of creamy caramel and a magnificent mineral and saline finish.
