The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Veuve Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and fine essential in a perfectly balanced wine. Ensure the quality and continuity of the Yellow Label's style, the blend can be created with up to 45% reserve wines. Veuve Clicquot has the largest and the most varied collection of reserve wines (400 wines, aged up to 30 years).

Brilliant golden-yellow with fine, persistent bubbles. Fresh aromas of pear, apple, peach, citrus, and brioche lead to a rich palate of ripe fruit, pastry, and subtle dried fruit notes, finishing crisp and elegant.

It pairs beautifully with seasonal flavors such as a radish and shrimp salad with grapefruit, or a delicately stir-fried vegetable wok.

The foundation of Clicquot was set back in 1772. Philippe Clicquot used to own vineyards and decied to start a champagne house. With a vision for his brand to cross oceans and borders, he made his first shipment of champagne to Venice. Business was going great. In 1805, Barbe Clicquot Ponsardin, known as Madame Clicquot (the 27 year old widow of the founder's son), thus becoming one of the first businesswomen of modern times. Madame Clicquot took her abilities and innovativeness to a new level by creating the first vintage champagne in 1810. Over the years, she brought about new inventions, implemented new techniques thus bringing about important discoveries. Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Non Vintage is a blend of grapes from 50 to 60 different Crus.The Yellow Label is recognized around the world for its remarkable consistency of taste, beautiful aroma, colour and impeccable quality. It displays a robust acidity, streak of minerality, offering subtle notes of white peach, anise, biscuit and kumquat, finishing into notes of smokiness.
