Description
Prosecco (pronounce Proh-sehk-koh) takes its name from a quaint hillside town near Trieste, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.The must, obtained by very soft pressing, undergoes an initial fermentation at a controlled temperature of 10° C. (50° F.). The base wine is then transferred into pressurized stainless steel tanks where the wine is made sparkling using the traditional Charmat method.
Tasting Notes
Bright pale straw-yellow with a fine, clear mousse and delicate perlage. Intense and fruity, featuring hints of wisteria flowers and Rennet apples. Well-balanced and appealing, with the characteristic delicate almond note of Glera.
Serving Suggestions
An excellent aperitif. It is ideal with starters like bruschetta, salads, light pasta and Pizza, in particular vegetarian ones
