Smirnoff brand began in 1864 by Piotr Arsenwwvich Smirnov. It did not take him long before he was known as one of the most famous vodka makers in Russia. Making delcious tasting vodkas became his forte. But, when the Bolsheviks came to take over the land, the distilleries were shut down and P.A's son, Vladmir was chased out of the town. He was able to relocate in a a beautiful place called Contantinople and eventually settle in France where it is known that he sold vodka under 'Smirnoff'. The Smirnoff Triple Distilled vodka is a the 50 percent 100 proof Export strength version of the classic Smirnoff Vodka. The Blue Label Smirnoff undergoes filteration through a unique charcoal process in addition to it being triple distilled, to give the Smirnoff Blue a uniwue robust flavour with a dry finish.
