Vin Santo's origins are ancient, possibly linked to a Greek island wine called Xanthos. However, it's more likely its name stems from its religious use.
Tasting Notes
Amber with golden reflections. Intense aromas of candied fruit, eucalyptus, and honey, with zesty citrus and intriguing walnut and hazelnut notes. The palate reveals dried fruits like apricots, pineapple, figs, and dates, culminating in a long finish of orange zest and Crème Brûlée.
Serving Suggestions
Cantucci cookies are the traditional pairing, but Serelle matches well with blue cheeses, homemade savory pies and cakes.
