Brand Info
The story of Dewar's begins in a small wine and merchants shop in Perth, Scotland by a man named John Dewar of John Dewar & Sons Ltd. He was one of the first Scotsmen to blend whisky in the right way. His sons, John Alexander and Tommy Dewar are the ones who made Dewar an international success, which began with the foundation of Aberfeldy Distillery in 1898. Known as the true home of Dewar's, which up until today still produces the Single Malt Whisky- the key to every Dewar's blend. Dewar's 12 year old is a Scotch Whisky that is double aged for extra smoothness. With flavour notes of honey, home-made toffee apples and fudge, it portrays a distincy warm, buttery flavour with undertones of juicy sultanas, fresh citrus, vanilla making this 12 year old full and lively with hints of melted caramel and traces of oak to finish to give it a rounded, smooth finish. STYLE: Scotch Whisky, ALCOHOL BY VOLUME (ABV): 40%
Description
Dewar's 12 Year Old is a luxuriously rich, fruity and smooth blend. It is crafted using only the finest whiskies, matured in oak casks for at least 12 years from the different regions of Scotland. Dewar's 12 is double-aged in vintage oak casks to provide exceptional smoothness and exquisite rich flavour. A full fruity nose, blending together sultanas and raisins with a hint of Scottish heather, forming a perfectly balanced, mellow whisky.
