It all began in 1860 in Italy when Gaspare Campari kept experimenting with combinations to invent a new beverage which displayed a bitter flavour. Many say, this recipe was inspired by a classic cocktail recipe, to bring out the contemporary classic features of this liqueur that are obtaines from the infusion of a number of herbs and fruit.
