The sun and the heat has got us craving for refreshing drinks that aren’t too heavy on your palette, just light, maybe fizzy and acidic. What we have here is a refreshing and slightly unique twist on the classic lemonade. We tempt you into making this your summer staple for the last summer days. Soak in them sun while you can.

Steps

  1. The first thing to do is to heat the sugar and thyme- to make it more syrup like. This helps in combining the flavours more.
  2. Take a saucepan, pour in the 2 cups of sugar and thyme and boil it. You want to boil it until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Switch the gas off, take the pan off the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Once cooled, strain the syrup (to avoid chunks in your drink) and pour it into a cup.
  5. You should ideally have two cups of syrup. You can discard the thyme.
  6. Cover the cups and let it chill
  7. Take a large tumbler or jug, pour in the lemon juice, the Grey Goose vodka, the chilled syrup and stir until well combined.
  8. Garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of thyme
