Casamigos Mezcal 70cl

The Casamigos brand – created by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman – first made a splash on the Tequila scene. But now the folks at Casamigos have expanded their portfolio with their first mezcal. This joven (unaged) artesanal mezcal is made from 100% espadin agave and was crafted in collaboration with a family that has been making mezcal for five generations in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. The piñas are cooked in earthen pits lined with volcanic rock and crushed using a tahona. After a long fermentation, the mezcal is twice distilled using copper pot stills. It's super smoky, herbaceous, and very delicious.

Through a rush of smoke and aromatic herbs, there are hints of cucumber, exotic fruit and white pepper.
