Captain Morgan, the rum itself was created in 1944 established by Sam Bronfman, and went on to be one of the top selling rum producers the world had ever seen. Producing the rum involved the mix of the rich and sweet juices of sugar cane, fermentaion, distillation, maturation in charred white oak barrels to incorporate colour and flavour and blending to achieve the smooth taste of the finest Caribbean rums. Even though the brand has come up with many successful versions of rum (which calls for some serious drinking skills), the company still owes its continued fame to its original spiced rum, which we think will remain a classic.
