Medium Bodied Red
Inherited from the Cluny monks who had cleared the land and planted vines on their properties around Mâcon, the House of Mommessin has its origins in southern Burgundy. In 1865, Jean-Marie Mommessin chose to set up his company at Grange-Saint-Pierre, one of the former outbuildings of the Cluny Abbey. It was from there that the key, which has become the symbol of the brand, was taken : Vintage and Image may vary
A nice ruby colour with violet glints. The nose is intense, floral and fruity with dominant blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice, violet and cinnamon aromas. The palate has great length with power and flavour.
Red meats and full-bodied cheeses.
