Description
This is the oldest and rarest Whisky within Dewars permanent range, matured for a minimum of 25 years, then double aged or finished in casks that previously held Royal Brackla single malt whisky. Unanimous praise from all quarters combined with a significant age statement, slick presentation and a remarkable direct import price add up to an unmissable buying opportunity. Aged for a quarter-century, its a tribute to the art of blending. The accumulation of knowledge and skill passed down through generations of Dewars Master Blenders, since 1846, is evident in every precious drop.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey, dried peels, toasted oak and stewed plum. A soft hint of strawberry jam and old oak furniture too.
Palate: Hobnob biscuits, more red berry sweetness, sandalwood, toffee and treacle.
Finish: A slow build of Christmas spices on the Finish, paired with orchard fruit and mint leaf.
