Description
Swartland Winery is situated north of Cape Town, near the town of Malmesbury in the Swartland, a popular wine destination. The vineyards benefit from the constant cool breezes that blow off the Atlantic Ocean, effectively sustaining the many microclimates, while the proximity to mountain ranges adds its own dimension to the physical character of the fruit. Tasting Notes
Dark purple with bright red rim. A wonderfully complex on the nose with earthy tones. Aromas of dark ripe fruit such as black cherries, plum and raspberries, as well as a hint of vanilla. Earthy and spicy flavours, as well as plum and other dark, ripe fruit flavours. Medium firm tannins and good wood integration make for a balanced wine. Soft finish.

Enjoy with roasted duck or a rich pasta with roasted tomatoes
